⚠️ Book Hyatt Awards Before May 20, 2026
World of Hyatt is overhauling its award chart on May 20th, with prices increasing by up to 67% on peak nights. Any booking made before May 20 locks in today’s lower pricing, even if your travel date is later in 2026 or into 2027. If any of the hotels below are on your list, book now and cancel later if plans change.
A 150,000 welcome offer from my favorite bank puts us in new territory.
At 100k, there is still a lot of possibility, but if you have a big family, a card for both you and your spouse might be necassary to make the welcome offer useful to you.
But 150k? Just one welcome offer could get you Business class seats for a couple. A full week at an all-inclusive where literally everything is covered. Two completely separate vacations in one year instead of one. Or a Park Hyatt in Paris or Tokyo that you assumed was only for people with travel blogs and no children.
Spoiler: it’s for you too.
My favorite flexible points transfer 1:1 to all of the airline and hotel partners below, which is what makes them so powerful. And if you need a list of those cards to get you to 150k, start HERE.

Resorts Worth Saving Up For
These are the properties that truly come into focus at 150k. Some were technically possible before but felt like a stretch. Others are a completely different tier; the kind of places that make you sit down and wonder how this is even real.
Booking for all of these hotels can be found at World of Hyatt using a 1:1 point transfer.
Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme (40k–55k points/night) — Paris, steps from Place Vendôme, with the kind of service that makes you feel like a different person. At 150k you can book three nights and still have points left. A bucket list couples trip that becomes real at this balance.

Park Hyatt Tokyo (25k–40k points/night) — One of the most iconic hotels in the world. At the lower end of the range, 150k gets you nearly a week here. An incredible base for a Japan family trip or a once-in-a-lifetime couples escape.

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos (21k–29k points/night) — Here’s what changes at 150k: you can do 5–7 nights at a Hyatt Ziva all-inclusive, where food, drinks, kids clubs, and entertainment are all included. Your entire vacation cost drops to basically zero. That math doesn’t work at 100k. At 150k it does.

Hyatt Zilara Cancun (21k–29k points/night) — The adults-only sister brand to Hyatt Ziva. Five nights of all-inclusive Cancun for a couple, with zero out-of-pocket on food or drinks. This is the anniversary trip you keep saying you’ll take someday.

Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort (35k–45k points/night) — A step up from the Hyatt Regency Maui, with a boutique feel, stunning infinity pools, and one of the most beautiful stretches of beach on the island. Three solid nights with 150k.

Alila Ventana Big Sur (35k–55k points/night) — Dramatic cliffs, redwoods, and Pacific Ocean views. One of the most stunning properties in the United States. This one is especially worth booking before May 20. It’s expected to jump significantly under the new award chart.

Miraval Arizona Resort & Spa (18k–30k points/night) — Hyatt’s wellness resort brand is a completely different kind of trip. Spa treatments, mindfulness programming, yoga, and zero screens. If you have been telling yourself you need a reset, this is the points redemption to make it happen. Points cover the room, so think of it as your vacation from your vacation.

Under Canvas Zion (3,500k–12k points/night) — Under Canvas is part of the Hyatt portfolio and offers glamping at some of the most beautiful national parks in the country: Zion, Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon, and more. At the lower end of the range, 150k gets you weeks of this. A completely unique experience that no one else in your carpool line has thought to book on points.

Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana (21k–29k points/night) — A newer all-inclusive in the Dominican Republic with swim-up suites, multiple pools, and a kids water park. At 21k/night, 150k gets your family a full week in the Caribbean with everything covered.

Andaz Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo (35k–45k points/night) — Surfing, ziplining, and views that will wreck your camera roll. The extra 50k over a standard balance means you can actually do three or four nights here instead of rushing through two.

Flight Redemptions That Make Sense for Families
Here is where 150k genuinely changes the game. Economy seats for the whole crew are still absolutely on the table, but now business class for a couple, or two completely separate family trips, both become real options.
Aeroplan (Air Canada) — Business class to Europe one-way starts at 60k Aeroplan miles. Two people can fly business class roundtrip for exactly 120k, leaving 30k for a hotel or a future trip.
Virgin Atlantic Flying Club — Delta One (business class) to Europe starts at 50k–67.5k points one-way when space is available. At 150k a couple can each fly one-way in lie-flat seats for a European trip that feels completely different from economy.
United MileagePlus — Domestic flights start at 12,500 miles each way. A family of four can fly roundtrip for 100k and still have 50k left over for a hotel stay. Or split 150k into two completely separate family trips at 75k each.
Southwest Rewards — With 150k and the Companion Pass, you could cover six to ten roundtrips for your family depending on the route. Hawaii from the West Coast starts at 6,000–12,000 points one-way. Southwest is still one of the best family redemptions in the country.
British Airways Avios — Short-haul sweet spots starting at 7,500 points one-way. Think NYC to Toronto, Miami to the Bahamas, or Dallas to Cancun. With 150k you can cover a lot of regional trips for the whole family.
Air France/KLM Flying Blue — A couple can fly roundtrip to Paris or Amsterdam in economy for as low as 50k–80k points during promo award periods, leaving plenty of points for the hotel.
Flying Blue promo awards — Air France/KLM runs monthly promos where transatlantic flights drop to 25k–40k points roundtrip.
JetBlue TrueBlue — East Coast families can cover four to five roundtrip tickets to the Caribbean. Simple booking, no blackout dates, and no award chart surprises.
Two Trips Instead of One — Split 150k right down the middle and plan two separate 75k trips in the same year. A long weekend at a Category 4–5 Hyatt in the spring, and flights plus a hotel for fall break. Busy moms who can’t take a full week off often get more joy out of two shorter escapes than one big production.
Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer — Hawaii on United-operated flights for 20,500 miles one-way in economy. A family of four flies one-way for 82k, making a one-way award + cash return work for a big Hawaii trip. Also one of the best options for premium cabin travel to Asia.
Redemptions That Stretch Every Last Point

These are the practical, real-life wins. Especially the “complete vacation on points” combinations that only really work when your balance hits 150k.
Flights + Hotel: The Complete Points Vacation — Transfer 50k to an airline for four roundtrip economy tickets and 100k to Hyatt for five to six hotel nights. At 100k you were choosing one or the other. At 150k you can cover both and check out of your trip with a $0 travel bill.
Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach (12k–17k points/night) — Hawaii without the luxury resort price tag. At the lower end of the range, 150k gets you nearly nine nights. A brilliant option for families who want the Hawaii experience for a longer period of time, because who can ever get enough of Hawaii!
Hyatt House across from Universal Orlando Resort (9k–18k points/night) — Full kitchen, free breakfast, and steps from the park entrance. At 9k/night your 150k goes a very long way, and who doesn’t love a trip to Universal.
Hyatt Centric French Quarter New Orleans (9k–18k points/night) — One of the most fun cities in the country for families. Jazz, beignets, street performers, and a hotel right in the heart of it all. At 150k you have enough for a full week here.
Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch (17k–23k points/night) — A gorgeous Arizona resort with a massive water park, multiple pools, and easy access to hiking and Old Town Scottsdale. Up to eight nights at 150k. A Southwest road trip anchor that works year-round.
Hyatt Place Nashville Downtown (9k–15k points/night) — Music City is endlessly entertaining for families and one of the most affordable major cities for points. Ten-plus nights at the lower end. A great home base for a full week.
Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa and Casino (17k–23k points/night) — A full Caribbean beach resort in Aruba with multiple pools, watersports, and one of the most reliably sunny climates in the world. At the lower end of the range, 150k gets your family nearly a week here.
Under Canvas Road Trip — Use Under Canvas properties as anchors along a national park road trip. At 3,500–12k points/night each, 150k covers a string of nights across multiple parks. The kids will talk about it forever.
Hyatt Place Kyoto (6,500–9,500 points/night) — A family-friendly base for Japan with great access to temples, bamboo forests, and bullet trains. At 150k you’re looking at up to two weeks here; a real deep-dive Japan trip.
Il Tornabuoni, Florence (25k–35k points/night) — A Small Luxury Hotels property in the Hyatt portfolio, right in the center of Florence. Three to four nights in a category that most people assume is cash-only. Italy on points is one of the best-kept secrets in this space.
