My Take

This is a great option if you’re trying to stay under 5/24 but still want to earn points with Hilton.

I love Hilton because when you book five nights on points, the fifth night is free on eligible award stays. Hilton has had devaluations over the past few years (just like other programs), but if you plan ahead and stay flexible with your dates, there’s still a lot of great value to be had.

Hilton free night certificates are also my favorite of any hotel brand because they’re uncapped. If there’s standard award space available, you can use them anywhere (including high-end properties), which is exactly why I love them. If you want to understand how free night certificates work and how to use them well, read my full guide here: Hilton Free Night Certificates Guide.
