What Does Hyatt Globalist Actually Get You?
If you are confused as to how Hyatt benefit tiers work, READ THIS FIRST.
Globalist is the top, and here’s why Globalist is one of the most family-friendly elite statuses of any hotel program:
Globalist and Explorist members get early access to award night availability, meaning you can see and book free nights before general members, which matters a lot at popular resorts that fill up fast.
You don’t need to be loyal to every hotel brand. If you pick just one to focus one: Hyatt is the one that pays you back the fastest.

The Traditional Requirement (And Why It Scares People Away)
The official Hyatt Globalist requirements are:
- 60 elite nights or
- 100,000 base points earned or
- 20 meetings or events booked
So naturally, most people think: “Nope, I don’t travel that much.”
But here’s the good news…
How You Can Earn 60 Nights Without Staying 60 Nights
You can combine credit card nights + real stays to hit Globalist without living in hotels.

That’s Not Your Only Option
Shortcut #1: Hyatt Corporate Globalist Challenge
Some employers participate in Hyatt’s Corporate Challenge, which lets eligible employees earn Globalist much faster than the standard 60-night requirement.
Instead of qualifying the traditional way, eligible participants can earn Globalist by completing a set number of qualifying nights during a limited challenge period (often 20 nights in 90 days, though Hyatt can change the terms).
If your employer participates, this is one of the fastest legitimate ways to earn Globalist.
Keep in mind: The automatic elite nights you receive from Hyatt credit cards do not count toward a Globalist Challenge. Only qualifying nights completed during the challenge window count.
Shortcut #2: Marriott Titanium → Aeroplan → Hyatt Globalist Challenge
This is one of the newest opportunities to qualify for Hyatt Globalist faster.
Marriott Titanium Elite and Ambassador Elite members can take advantage of Marriott’s partnership with Air Canada Aeroplan to receive complimentary Aeroplan 25K status. Eligible Aeroplan 25K members can then register for Hyatt’s Globalist Challenge through the Hyatt–Aeroplan partnership, reducing the path to Globalist from the standard 60 qualifying nights to just 20 qualifying nights during the challenge period.

Marriott → Aeroplan → Hyatt Globalist Challenge
This is not a direct Marriott-to-Hyatt status match. Think of it as a four-step chain.
Start With Marriott Status
You need Marriott Titanium Elite or Ambassador Elite.
Match to Aeroplan 25K
Through the Marriott–Aeroplan partnership, eligible members can receive Aeroplan 25K status.
Register for the Hyatt Challenge
Eligible Aeroplan members can register for Hyatt’s Globalist Challenge.
Stay 20 Qualifying Nights
Complete 20 qualifying Hyatt nights during the challenge period instead of the standard 60-night path.
Your Hyatt credit card’s automatic elite-night credits do not count toward this challenge. The challenge is based on qualifying Hyatt nights completed during the challenge window.
The shortcut is: Marriott Titanium or Ambassador → Aeroplan 25K → Hyatt Challenge → 20 qualifying nights → Globalist.

Can You “Buy” Globalist With Guest of Honor Awards?
Let’s address the rumor: some people say you can find Guest of Honor certificates being sold online.
You might see people offering them in private groups or marketplaces, but buying or selling certificates is against Hyatt’s terms, so I can’t recommend going that route publicly.
However…
✔️ You can earn Guest of Honor status yourself once you reach Globalist, and then gift your perks to friends or family using your own points.
