My Take
This is the “I fly Delta a lot and I want travel days to be easier” business card. If you’re regularly in airports for work, or you’re a hub flyer buying airport food and hunting for seats every trip, Delta Sky Club® access is the benefit that can change your whole experience.
I don’t recommend this for most people as a first Delta card because the annual fee is $650, so you want to be sure you’ll use the premium perks. But if you’re a frequent Delta flyer who cares about lounge access and Medallion® Status progress, this is the one that tends to feel worth it.
If you live near a Delta hub and want to see how I think about Delta cards overall (and which order makes sense), I break it down here: Are Delta Credit Cards Worth It? A Simple Guide for Families.
Why Business Owners Love It
- Delta Sky Club® access: 15 visits each Medallion Year when you’re traveling on an eligible Delta flight, plus Unlimited Delta Sky Club Access after you spend $75,000 in eligible purchases on your Card in a calendar year.
- The Centurion Lounge®: Access when you book your Delta flight with your Reserve Business Card.
- MQD Headstart and MQD Boost: Earn $2,500 Medallion® Qualification Dollars each Medallion Qualification Year, plus $1 MQD for every $10 in purchases on your Card.
- Annual Companion Certificate: Each year after renewal, a round-trip Companion Certificate for Delta First, Delta Comfort or Main Cabin on eligible routes. Taxes and fees apply.
- 15% off Delta award flights: Receive 15% off when you use miles to book Award Travel on Delta flights through delta.com and the Fly Delta app.
- 3X on Delta purchases: Earn 3X miles on eligible purchases made directly with Delta. Earn 1X on other eligible purchases.
Quick “is this worth it?” check: If you’ll realistically use the lounge often (work trips, connections, or flying with kids) and you care about Medallion progress, this can be a strong fit. If you only fly Delta a couple of times a year, I’d usually start with a Delta card that has a lower annual fee and move up later if you find yourself wishing you had Delta Sky Club access.
