My Take

This is the Delta card I see most families move to once they’ve flown Delta a few times and want the benefits to feel more “real.” If you live near a hub and you’re taking at least one or two Delta trips a year, the Companion Certificate is the feature that can make this card worth it (but only if you’ll use it).

I also like that it keeps things simple. You still get the benefits that make airport days easier (like checked bags included on Delta flights and priority boarding), and you get a clear path to squeeze more value out of a trip you were already going to take.

Companion Certificate tip: If you wouldn’t realistically book a domestic round-trip on Delta in the next 12 months, don’t get this card just for the certificate.
