My Take on the Capital One Venture X Business

This one’s definitely not a beginner card — but if you can meet the welcome offer, the payoff is huge. We’re talking 150,000 miles after spending $30,000 in the first 3 months. That’s a massive haul, but let’s be real… $30k in 3 months is steep unless your business has high monthly expenses or you’re planning a big lump-sum payment (think quarterly taxes, large inventory orders, or big vendor bills).

If you can hit that spend, here’s why I like this card:

  • Premium lounge access — unlimited visits for you and two guests to Capital One Lounges, Priority Pass, and Plaza Premium Lounges.
  • Anniversary bonus — 10,000 bonus miles each year you keep the card.
  • Strong earn rate — 2 miles per dollar on everything, plus higher on certain travel bookings.
  • Annual fee math that works — $395 sounds high, but the perks easily outweigh it if you use them.

A couple of things to know:

  • It’s a pay-in-full card — no carrying a balance.
  • Unlike some other Capital One business cards, this one does not count toward 5/24.
  • You can have the personal Venture X and still get this one.

Who it’s for:

If you’ve got big business expenses, want a simple “earn on everything” setup, and value premium travel perks, this is an easy way to rack up a lot of miles in a short amount of time. If that $30k spend makes your eyes bug out, it might not be the right fit — but there are great alternatives with lower minimum spends.
